Chapter 23
Pines Hotel had only one presidential suite, typically reserved for a mysterious VIP guest. When Justin saw Emelia standing outside that very door, a wave of confusion and unease washed over him.
Justin’s brow furrowed as his expression turned icy. Without hesitation, he strode directly toward Emelia.
He loomed over her, his eyes demanding answers as he snapped.
“What are you doing here? Are you following me?”
His cold and harsh voice cut through the quiet hallway.
“How very generous of you to bring your secretary to such a luxurious place, Mr. Pittman. You truly splurge for your mistress!” Emelia looked at Justin’s hypocritical demeanor and felt nothing but disdain.
The scene before her bitterly contrasted with Justin’s earlier assurances that Samantha wouldn’t come between them. How ironic!
She found this man extremely hypocritical.
“Emmy, let me explain!” Justin saw the cold look in Emelia’s eyes and suddenly felt a pang of panic.
He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but he was at a loss for words, feeling a lump in his throat.
Just then, Joshua elegantly wiped his mouth with a napkin before walking out unhurriedly.
His tall frame moved with natural aristocratic grace.
When Justin saw Joshua, his angry expression turned murderous.
His face flushed crimson, veins bulging at his temples as he pointed at Emelia and roared, “Emelia! You’re cheating on me with another man!”
His voice turned hoarse with rage, the shout echoing down the hallway.
“Mrs. Pittman,” Samantha interjected, seizing her opportunity with feigned concern and accusing, “I know you have misunderstandings about Mr. Pittman and me, but you shouldn’t betray him. You’re still married.”
Internally, Samantha rejoiced at her good fortune.
She couldn’t believe Emelia had been caught red–handed with another man.
This might finally be her chance to take Emelia’s place.
“People with twisted minds think others are the same as them.”
Facing the two extremely hypocritical people, Emelia felt a surge of disgust.
