Chapter 13
When Katie finished signing the letter and looked up, she found that Nathan was gone, and not just him, but everyone else in the room had left as well.
Only the supervisor who looked at her with a lecherous gaze was left.
At that moment, his gaze became even more intense, as if his eyes could penetrate through her clothes, tracing along her curves, slowly sketching them out.
Katie gritted her teeth and handed over the agreement with disgust, then turned to pull the door, only to find it was locked from the other side.
Her heart sank all of a sudden, but she still pretended to be calm. “Is the door broken? Is Nathan going to bring someone over soon?”
The man walked slowly towards her and said, “It’s okay, Nathan deliberately sent the person away to create an opportunity for us.”
There was a moment when Katie believed his words, but the next second, she dismissed the thought herself.
How could Nathan do this? Even if he hated himself, he would not let
others mistreat him.
Yes, she looked around here. If the doctor of traditional medicine hadn’t discovered her pregnancy last time, Nathan would probably have kicked her out that day. No matter who he kicked her to, that person would definitely not treat her well.
She suddenly regretted why she had to believe him.

She forced herself to stay calm, looking at him with a cold gaze. “Nathan brought me here from Owen’s sickbed.”
“Before leaving, I specifically told grandpa that I would be back in at most. an hour. If he couldn’t see me for a long time, guess what the
consequences would be.”
The man, however, didn’t care at all, “I don’t care about the consequences, as long as I am happy, that’s the result I want.”
The next second, he rushed towards Katie, but Katie was prepared and dodged to the side, picking up a nearby chair and smashing it towards the man’s head.
Katie used all her strength, but how could she know that the person in front of her was used to fighting and getting hit. This only angered him, it didn’t hurt him.
So as Katie was catching her breath and thinking of the next course of action, the man had already lost his temper, pushing Katie down and cursing at her with a filthy mouth, “I used to pity you as a princess, wanting to hold you gently in bed. But since you refuse to accept my kindness, I’ll just take care of you right here on the ground!”
The man’s hands were as strong as pincers, and Katie couldn’t struggle at
all.
She looked up at the ceiling, tears blurring her eyes.
She thought she should have died at that moment.
In her mind flashed Zane’s face, the blank expression he had when they had just parted ways.
What a fool I was, I had agreed to it myself, but I didn’t even realize it.
The next second, the man’s body suddenly left, his skin exposed to the air,

Katie couldn’t help but shiver, feeling cold.
She felt someone holding her in their arms, the person had a familiar
scent that gave her a sense of security, but strangely, she couldn’t see the person’s face.
Tears welled up in her eyes as she reached out with both hands, “Zane, is that you?”
Just as I finished speaking, there was a sudden clarity in front of me, and the person who came turned out to be Nathan.
Katie jerked her hand back as if it had been burned, her voice trembling, “How could it be you, go away, just go!”
