Stella gave Marvin a complex look. At preschool, Keen often bullied Marvin. She had already been called twice to resolve their issues Yet Marvin still called Keen his friend, forgiving him without hesitation. It was heartbreakingly mature.
Neville chimed in. “We should definitely look for him. After all, Keen is your son. Even if it was another child from the preschool who went missing, we’d help search.“%
Neville, with his seemingly laid–back demeanor, had such a soft heart. It was probably this nature of his that raised Marvin to be such a considerate kid.
Stella pondered for a moment and nodded gently.!!
As they headed toward the exit Marvin suddenly stopped, staring blankly in a particular direction.!
Stella noticed Marvin’s odd behavior and asked gently, “Marvin, what’s up?!
Marvin snapped back to reality. “Oh, nothing… Dad, Stella I just need to use the restroom.“”
“Do you want me to come with you?” Stella offered.
“No, no,” Marvin replied quickly. “I can go by myself.”
Marvin was an independent child, rarely needing adults to worry over such matters.

Marvin had just left when Stella’s phone rang again. It was Haynes, once more.!!
With a frown, Stella decisively hung up on Haynes‘ call.
Back in the day, Haynes rarely called her. If he ever did, Stella would be beside herself with excitement. But now, all she felt was annoyance.
No sooner had she ended the call than Haynes called again, undeterred
Neville glanced at her, understanding the situation. “You should answer it. Keen is missing, and he must be worried.”
Stella nodded slightly, not because she was concerned about Haynes‘ anxiety but because she knew he wouldn’t stop calling until she picked up
After notifying Neville, Stella found a quiet corner and answered the call!!

Haynes‘ voice was low and cold, “You’re at the amusement park, and so is Keen. Stella, are you telling me you’re not with him?“%
