Series 6
Scarlet smiled softly, her voice gentle, “Being close to Alexander matters to me, not the title of his wife.”
Despite her words, her gaze fixed firmly on Alexander, revealing her true intentions and the expectation that she would eventually marry him.
Alexander turned his gaze away, absentmindedly tapping his glass, his silence evident.
Catching Scarlet’s hopeful glance, Theo said, “It’s clear Alexander cares for you, Scarlet. Once he’s free of Wren, he’ll make you his wife without a doubt. Right, Alexander?”
Alexander did not reply, seemingly lost in his thoughts.
Scarlet parted her lips to speak, but just then, a commotion at the entrance caught everyone’s attention.
All eyes turned as the distinct sound of high heels clicked across the marble floor, echoing with the pulse of the room.
A striking woman in a bright red dress appeared. The dress, with its plunging neckline and shimmering sequins, hugged her form, the fishtail hem swaying as she moved.
Her presence was magnetic, her figure flawless. Her sharp features were framed by captivating eyes, enhanced by dark eyeliner. Her beauty wasn’t merely seen—it was felt, leaving everyone in awe.
“Oh my God! Who is that woman? I can’t believe someone so stunning has been in Owathe all this time! Why haven’t I seen her before?” Theo gasped, unable to contain his astonishment.
“Indeed, she’s mesmerizing,” Scarlet commented with a smile.
Alexander slowly lifted his eyes to gaze at the woman, his expression tightening at the sight.
“I like her! I’m going to get her number right now. Just wait for the good news!” Theo declared, making his way toward the woman with purposeful steps.
Approaching her, Theo flashed what he considered his most charming smile. “Hello, beautiful! I’m Theo Adams, son of the chairman of Adams Group. May I have the honor of your acquaintance?”
Wren met his gaze with a slight, amused smile.
Previously, in Alexander’s circle, Theo had been particularly harsh toward her, always throwing insults in her direction.
He had called her every unkind name, showing no regard for her feelings.
But now, here he was, standing before her, utterly captivated by her beauty.
The irony wasn’t lost on Wren.
Seeing her smile, Theo found himself momentarily spellbound.
