Chapter 24 The Perfect Time
“Tianna, don’t be so selfish. You can’t stop me from pursuing a better future. Don’t you agree?” Melvin was a bit irritated. He thought Tianna was narrow–minded and had no idea how much benefit the Jimenez Group would gain from the cooperation with Radiance Group.
Maybe she was family with Matthew. Yet, Matthew was just an actor with some fans. What could he possibly bring to the Jimenez Group?
Tianna was so annoyed by the look on his face that she actually wanted to laugh. Resting her chin on her hands, she said to him. “Fine then I wish you all the best in deepening your cooperation with Radiance Group through Alyvia. I’m looking forward to seeing the Jimenez Group thrive.”
Melvin was choked on her words; the thought that those recent collaborations all fell through further upset him.
Just then. Alyvia came back. Seeing Melvin was still talking to Tianna, she pulled a long face. “Tianna, you’re such a slut. Can’t those men. around you satisfy you? Why are you still seducing my fiancé? You’re so shameless.
She said loudly, attracting the attention of everyone present.
Tianna sneered and looked at Alyvia coldly, “Chill. Unlike you, not many of us enjoy being a mistress. And we certainly aren’t interested in crappy losers.”
“You…” Alyvia was so furious that she wanted to slap Tianna.
Yet, Tianna grabbed her hand before she could lower it. “You wanna slap me? Get real.”
“Tianna!” Alyvia snapped.
In fact. Tianna wasn’t angry; instead, she felt a bit sorry for Alyvia, whose confidence stemmed from Randall’s position. She believed she was the only child of Randall, and of course, he’d clean up all the mess she made.
But the truth was?
Randall already had another family secretly, and he had left all his money to his son. Alyvia was indeed pitiful.
“What’s the fuss about?” Randall stepped out of his office and said irritably, looking at Tianna coldly. Yet, the latter didn’t flinch at all; she even smiled at him.
Randall was so pissed off that he couldn’t help but grit his teeth and cursed at how incompetent the sniper was. The sniper failed to kill Tianna, a harmless woman, and his money was all down the drain..
“Dad. she…”
“Shut up. If you don’t have anything serious to say, go home. Don’t you have a wedding to prepare?” Randall cut Alyvia off, not bothering to hear her complaints.
Alyvia felt aggrieved but didn’t dare to defy Randall. She pulled Melvin and was about to leave.
But Melvin wasn’t ready to go; he wanted to inquire further about the collaboration. “Via, now that we’re here, I’d like to talk to Mr. Duarte about the cooperation.”
“Not now. It’s not a good time.” Alyvia grabbed him, not wanting him to
- go.
She didn’t want him to know that the Jimenez Group had been
blacklisted. If he did, he’d be devastated.
She didn’t want anything unexpected to happen before the wedding.
Since she insisted, Melvin didn’t want to argue with her. He could only nod. “Fine. I’ll talk to him some other time then.”
Before leaving, he glanced at Tianna deeply.
At first, he thought Tianna would spend her days in sorrow after their divorce, she’d come begging him to get back with her.
But he was wrong.
Tianna seemed to have been doing fine, and she never came to him.
It seemed things weren’t going as he had expected.
He then looked at Alyvia. Thinking that after marrying Alyvia, he could. obtain the project with Radiance Group through Randall, he felt slightly better. No matter what, he couldn’t regret his choices even just for the sake of the Jimenez Group.
While having lunch in the cafeteria, Tianna got a call from Deven, who was abroad.
Deven said, “I’ve had someone deal with the online news. Matthew was too sloppy. I’ve scolded him.”
“It’s fine, Deven. Matthew didn’t mean to.” Tianna was surprised to hear that Deven handled this himself and felt quite guilty.
Deven remained silent for a while before asking, “How are you adjusting to the company?”
“I’m doing great. The food in the cafeteria is nice,” she smiled.
“If you don’t wanna work at the company, feel free to do whatever you want. I’m all for it. And don’t worry about Dad; I’ll take care of that, too,” Deven said.
She felt warm. “Thanks, Deven. But I’m doing just fine. I like working
here.”
“Alright then.” Deven then changed the subject. “Matthew told me you’ve been close to some guy named Levi?”
“Matthew does tell you everything, doesn’t he?” Tianna felt a headache. Then she explained patiently. “Deven, Levi and I are just friends. Don’t overthink it.”
“I’m not trying to stop you from starting a new chapter of your
life. I just want you to be cautious. given your status. Many people may try to get close to you with ulterior motives,” Deven said.
She nodded and said yes repeatedly before finally hanging up. Then she breathed a sigh of relief.
Deven was great, except that like Gordon, he loved to lecture her.
After lunch. Tianna sat in her seat. She seemed to be working, yet in fact, she was secretly listening in on Randall’s office.
He was on the phone and was about to go out to meet a supplier he had been working with for years. The supplier happened to be on her list of suspects involved in Randall’s corrupt dealings.
Without hesitation, she asked Evelyn for time off and followed Randall out of the company secretly.
This time, things went smoothly. She had substantial proof of Randall’s. dealings with the supplier. Coupled with the proof Bobby had sent her, she already had enough to bring Randall down.
She went back to the company in a great mood. Just then, the receptionist. came to her with a file bag.
“Tianna, it’s for you.” The receptionist placed the file bag on her desk and then continued to distribute other packages.

Tianna couldn’t help but feel puzzled. She didn’t buy anything recently.
She opened the file bag and was surprised to see the documents inside.
Those documents were actually the proof of Randall’s dealings with numerous suppliers, which were quite similar to the proof she had gathered.
Frowning. she read through the documents. The more she read, the more stunned she was as the documents were more detailed than what she had
found.
Who sent her the file bag? What did they want? Could it be a trap? Or was someone trying to take down Randall through her?
She was overwhelmed by questions, but she knew one thing. She must take down Randall.
The pressing question for her was to decide when to release this to send Randall to jail.
Suddenly, it occurred to her that this Saturday was Alyvia and Melvin’s wedding day.
That seemed like the perfect time.
Levi was in Larkfield Heights, a high–rise apartment in the city center.
Standing by the floor–to–ceiling window, he looked out, staring at Radiance Group’s building, which wasn’t far away,
“Levi, you went to great lengths to look into Randall, and once you got the information, instead of giving it to her, you mailed it. How would she know it’s from you?” Rafael was puzzled.
“She doesn’t need to know,” with a teacup in his hand, Levi said calmly, his gaze deep.

Rafael curled his lips and couldn’t help but tease, “You’re indeed the unknown hero. Levi.”
Levi immediately shot him a cold glance. “You talk too much.”
“Fine. I talk too much. OK?” instead of retorting, Rafael smiled. “This is the first time I’ve seen you so invested in someone. Ms. Bennett must be
so special to you.”
