Chapter 3 See for Yourself
At Radiance Group, Tianna finished her onboarding process and was led to the Purchasing Department by the HR staff.
As they entered the office, everyone looked at them. The HR staff introduced her, “This is Tianna, the new intern for the department. Mr. Duarte has assigned her to your team, Evelyn.”
Evelyn Rivera pouted, displeased. “Another intern? The hiring period is over already, right?”
Setting her eyes on Tianna, she said perfunctorily, “Find an empty seat. and sit down.”
Then she went back to work. Tianna wasn’t bothered; she found a seat for
herself.
She then opened her laptop and started to look up information about Radiance Group, especially the personnel at the Purchasing Department, which she had to know everything inside out.
After almost an hour, she had a general picture of the entire department. She closed her laptop and was about to ask Evelyn if there was anything she could do when she saw two acquaintances enter the office.
She smiled and propped her chin with one hand, looking at them with
interest.
“Tianna? Why are you here?” Melvin spotted her striking face the second he stepped inside and subconsciously asked.
Tianna smiled and said nothing. The woman next to Melvin said, “Melvin, maybe she knew you were coming. She came here on purpose to pester you.”

Melvin instantly pulled a long face. Today was the first time Alyvia Duarte brought him here to meet her father, Randall. If Tianna ruined
this…
With this thought in mind, he strode over to Tianna, grabbed her, and pulled her out of the office.
Before closing the office door, he said to Alyvia, “Via, I’ll fix this first.”
“What a nuisance,” Alyvia said with disdain, frowning.
Melvin dragged Tianna into the break room and questioned her, “Who said you could come here? Tianna, don’t think you get to threaten me in such a way.”
Tianna poured herself some coffee and looked at him with a smile. “Why are you so worked up? No one knew about our relationship at first, but thanks to that little scene you made, now everyone does.”
In fact, she didn’t want anyone to know she was once married to Melvin; it was nothing to brag about anyway.
Melvin was choked on her words. With a stern face, he said, “You want this to happen, right? You want everyone to know about us. You don’t wanna see Alyvia’s dad approve of me. Really, Tianna? You think that’ll make me come back to you?”
Tianna felt speechless for a second.
She wanted to say, “You have a rich imagination for sure.”
She tried to hold back for a few seconds but failed. Sizing him up, she couldn’t help but say sarcastically, “You think too highly of yourself.”
“Oh, really? Do tell. Why are you here at Radiance Group?” Melvin didn’t believe her and was convinced she came here to cause trouble for him.
She picked up her employee badge for him to look at. “See for yourself.
Stop annoying me.”
“An intern?” Seeing the words “Purchasing Department Intern” on the badge. Melvin frowned even more.
“You never told me you were coming here for an intern,” he said.
She turned around, snorting. “It’s got nothing to do with you.”
“You…”
“Your dear Via’s patience is wearing thin. She’ll lose it if you don’t come back to her.” she leaned against the door of the break room and said. slowly while watching Alyvia in the distance. The sullenness on Alyvia’s face was obvious.
Melvin didn’t dare to waste any more time here. He glared at her and warned. “Listen to me carefully. Don’t say anything to ruin my reputation. There’s no way I’m getting back together with you.”
Tianna finally couldn’t hold back her laughter anymore. “I’ve never realized you’re so shameless. Kudos.”
“Tianna!” Melvin was so furious that his expression changed a few times.
He wanted to say something more. Yet, in the next second, he spotted Alyvia’s sour expression and had no choice but to hurry over to her.
“What did you two talk about? Melvin, I’m warning you. If you ever dare contact her behind my back, there’ll be consequences,” Alyvia said sternly as soon as Melvin came to her side.
Melvin nodded repeatedly. “Of course. Don’t worry. You’re the only one I care about, Via. She’s nothing.”
Alyvia pouted but didn’t complain further. “Let’s go and see my dad. Bring out your best.”
Pushing open the door of Randall’s office, Alyvia immediately started to act coy and said, “Dad, what’s up with that Tianna? Why did you let her into the company?”
“You know Tianna?” Randall looked up at her, puzzled.
Alyvia told him about Tianna’s relationship with Melvin and then said, “I don’t want her hanging around Melvin. Fire her, Dad.”
“I can’t. Mr. Hudson arranged for her to work here.” Randall closed the file in his hands and looked at Melvin.
He didn’t approve of Melvin, actually.
But Alyvia was attracted to Melvin. Besides, the Jimenez family was relatively influential in Ridgedale. So, he could only make himself accept Melvin.
“Mr. Hudson?”
Alyvia frowned. Then she thought of something and tilted her head to look at Melvin. “Gee, maybe Tianna went on to seduce Mr. Hudson after you divorced her. Melvin.
“Mr. Hudson is so old. Seems she isn’t picky at all. How impressive.”
Melvin pulled a long face. Yet, under her mocking gaze, he remained silent; he hadn’t forgotten why he was here today.
“That’s enough.”
Randall stopped Alyvia from running her mouth, glanced at her, and then turned to Melvin. “If you wanna be with Via, you have to show me you’re capable enough.”
“Of course, Mr. Duarte. Just tell me what to do. As long as it’s within my abilities, I’ll try my best.” Melvin was extremely respectful in front of Randall. He bent slightly and waited for Randall’s instructions patiently.

Chapter 3 See for yourself.
“There’ll be a business banquet hosted by Radiance Group tonight. Take Via as your date. I’ll introduce you to some people.” Randall took an invitation out of his drawer and handed it to Melvin.
Smiling. Melvin took it over. Just as he was about to thank Randall, the latter said sternly. “Unlike the Jimenez Group, Radiance Group isn’t somet small–scale company. You gotta know what can and can’t say.”
“I see.” Melvin lowered his gaze and nodded, a glint of ferocity flashing across his eyes and disappearing in a flash.
Soon. Melvin and Alyvia walked out of Randall’s office. Upon seeing them. Evelyn came over at first. “Ms. Duarte, do you know Tianna?”
Evelyn was nervous, figuring that if Tianna was Alyvia’s friend, she’d have to be careful around Tianna.
“She doesn’t even get to know me,” Alyvia snorted, her eyes filled with
disdain.
“She got this internship by flirting with some old man. I’d be ashamed to know her.”
Evelyn couldn’t help but cover her mouth, looking shocked. “I was wondering how come we suddenly had an extra intern.”
“Ms. Rivera, those who get their jobs by pulling strings are never welcomed in Radiance Group. I suggest you teach her a lesson; only then. will she know how to behave,” Alyvia smirked, crossing her arms as she looked at Tianna in the distance.
Evelyn, shrewd as she was, instantly knew what Alyvia meant. She nodded. “Rest assured, Ms. Duarte. Consider it done.”
