Chapter 8 She Deletes Him
Evelyn gave Tianna the documents about Welkin Group. As Tianna was flipping through them, she said, “The CEO, Arthur Turner, isn’t some decent person. You better watch out.”
“Oh? Care to elaborate?” Tianna was surprised at how nice Evelyn was.
“Just know that he’s not a good person.” Evelyn frowned at Arthur’s name. Clearly, she had dealt with him before.
Closing the files, Tianna smiled at Evelyn, “Let’s make a bet.”
“What?” Evelyn looked at her, puzzled.
“I win if I nail the deal, and you have to side with me.” She was at a loss for where to start, and Evelyn became the perfect starting point for her.
Evelyn had worked in the Purchasing Department for years and was on Randall’s side, and she presumed Evelyn knew a lot.
Her gut told her that once she successfully won Evelyn over, it’d be easy peasy to deal with Randall.
Evelyn frowned while scrutinizing Tianna, wondering who gave Tianna the nerve to propose such a bet. “You know, Arthur won’t give a damn who your backer is.”
“Just tell me. Yes or no?”
“Yes,” Evelyn said. She had her own agenda.
If Tianna really secured a deal with Arthur without suffering any losses, it meant Tianna indeed was something. With Cohen backing her, chances were, they’d really take Randall down.
If she helped Tianna now, perhaps Tianna would appreciate it. She knew it was wishful thinking that Tianna would put in a good word for her with Cohen: she just wanted to be left intact when it came to dealing with Randall.
Tianna went back to her seat calmly. Seeing this, many began to admire. her. At least she was composed and positive, which was impressive.
Tianna opened WhatsApp and saw the friend request she had ignored the night before. This time, she saw the person’s name. Pondering for a few seconds, she accepted the request.
In the next second. L. W. texted, “I’m Levi.”
- B. replied. “I know. What’s up?”
- W. texted, “Have you received the repair bill for your car? I’ll transfer the money to you.”
- B. replied, “That won’t be necessary.”
Levi’s striking face emerged in Tianna’s mind, and she instantly felt the money was simply nothing.
- W texted, “I don’t like owing people.”
Her fantasy for him lasted only for a second and was instantly shattered by his cold reply. She couldn’t help but find him so unromantic. He had no fun at all.
She asked the driver for the repair bill and sent it to him.
Soon, he transferred the money to her.
- W. texted, “I’m sorry about the car. If it’s OK with you, can I invite you to a meal as compensation?”
A meal?
11:43
Holding her phone, she was quite hesitant.
Noticing her long silence, L. W. texted her again. “No need to overthink it. It’s just a meal.”
In fact, she wanted to say yes at first. No matter what, he was very handsome, and she wouldn’t lose anything.
But she immediately lost interest when she saw his second message.
She thought. “What gives him the idea that I’d overthink it? He’s cute. So what?
“He’s also a narcissist.”
- B. replied, “No need. You’ve already transferred me the money and owe me nothing now.”
Her words were so distant, which left Levi at a loss.
Holding his phone, he thought, “After so many years, she’s no longer that cute little girl anymore.”
- W. typed, “No matter what, I wasted your time, and I feel quite bad. about it. I wanna make up for it.“.
The second he pressed the button to send the message, the system prompted that his message was rejected.
Levi was stunned. If he was right, he was deleted.
He was deleted.
She deleted him!
His expression became slightly dazed. A trace of self–mockery appeared on his chiseled face as he was overwhelmed by an indescribable bitterness surging from his heart up to his throat.

He looked out the window, his eyes filled with sadness.
But it lasted for only a second; soon, he regained his usual composure.
At 6:30 p.m.. Tianna was already seated in a restaurant’s private room.
Arthur and she agreed to meet at 6:30 p.m., but he was still nowhere to be seen. Clearly, he was trying to intimidate her right from the start.
She wasn’t anxious. She took the time to sort out those documents she would need later and waited for him patiently..
He showed up half an hour later. “My apologies. I got caught up in work,
and I…”
He said while pushing the door and coming in. In the next second, he saw Tianna’s stunning face, which silenced him immediately.
She almost took his breath away.
None could deny her features were carved by angels. She had delicate features, and as she looked at him, her eyes, crystal–clear and pure, were filled with tenderness, almost sparkling.
He leered at her with no intention of hiding his interest in her. If they hadn’t been in a public setting, he might have already gotten fresh with her.
“Mr. Turner,” Tianna smiled, suppressing the disgust in her eyes.
Snapping back to reality, Arthur beamed. “I blame Randall; he didn’t tell. me I was about to meet a gorgeous today. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have been late at all no matter how busy I was.”
“Mr. Turner, let’s get down to business.” Tianna had no intention of beating around the bush; she just wanted to get it done as soon as possible.
Arthur sat beside her and frowned at the empty table. “No rush. Let’s cat.”
He was quite surprised; it was the first time someone had come to negotiate with him without even ordering anything to eat.
But he wasn’t mad. Why would he? He loved pretty women.
“I think we can skip the meal and cut to the chase.” She didn’t have any appetite sitting in the same room as Arthur.
Squinting. he sized her up. “Cut to the chase? My, my. Pretty, you’re more straightforward than I imagined.”
“Mr. Turner, if you still want to collaborate with us next quarter, you’ll have to reduce the price by two percent.” One percent wouldn’t be enough to make up for her time and energy lost here.
Arthur’s expression changed slightly. In fact, he had already discussed the price with Randall. The price would reduce by one percent next quarter, and he would give Randall a kickback in exchange for securing the deal with Radiance Group.
In other words, today’s meal was nothing but a formality. Whoever showed up was a “perk” Randall gave him; this had always been how things worked between them.
But Tianna surprised him. She asked for two percent directly, which was so bold.
“You know, if anyone else had said that, I would’ve told them to piss off already. But…” He looked at her and couldn’t say no to her no matter what. “For you, I might actually consider it.”
He might suffer some losses. But since he got to sleep with such a gorgeous woman, it wasn’t a bad deal.
“Oh? Mr. Turner, are you implying that you’ve got a condition?” Tianna

sneered, staring at him coldly.
He nodded and said bluntly. “Spend the night with me, and you’ll have your two percent.
“Pretty. I’m only agreeing to this because it’s you.”
Saying this, he reached out for her slender waist.
Just before his hand landed on her waist, she stood up, clutched his wrist,
and looked at him, her gaze piercing. “Mr. Turner, I’m not here to negotiate with you. I’m here to inform you.”
“It hurts! You bitch, let go!” Arthur cried out in pain and anger.
“Drop the act. Didn’t Randall tell you what you were really supposed to do here before you came?” Arthur was riled up. He had been working with Randall well all this time. What was wrong with Randall this time?
