Chapter What Do You Call Me?
Chapter 9 What Do You Call Me?
Tianna let go of Arthur’s wrist, sat back, and smiled at him, “Seems you and Randall have been working together behind the scenes for a while. now. Mr. Turner.
“That’s none of your business.” Arthur rubbed his sore wrist while sizing Tianna up suspiciously. “Who are you, really?”
Those sent by Randall to negotiate with him all knew what they were really supposed to do, and no one had ever defied him.
But Tianna seemed different.
Instead of responding to his question. Tianna pushed the documents on the table toward him. “It doesn’t matter who I am. My offer does. What do you think?”
Arthur subconsciously was about to refuse, but she cut him off, saying, “No rush to give me your answer. Check the gift I got for you first.”
He frowned at the documents and then picked them up. The second his gaze landed on the first page, his expression changed.
He quickly flipped through the documents and began to tremble. When he looked up at her, all the lust in his eyes had been replaced by fear.
“You… What do you mean?” He pointed at the documents, not daring to look her in the eye.
Leaning back in the chair, Tianna smiled, “Mr. Turner, you’ve done your fair share of bad deeds secretly. I’m curious. If this gets exposed, could Welkin Group survive this?”
What she had was proof of tax evasion by Welkin Group and Arthur’s acts
of forcing women into having sex with him.
Once these were made public, he’d spend the rest of his life behind bars.
“What the fuck do you want?” Clutching the files, Arthur stared at Tianna intently.
She handed the contract over. “Sign it, Mr. Turner. I look forward to our collaboration.”
The contract stated clearly that the price would be reduced by two percent.
But that wasn’t Arthur’s concern for now. He looked at Tianna and asked, “Why should I trust you? What if you expose the evidence after I sign?”
“Do you
really think you have a choice?” she sneered.
His face stiffened. She was right; he had no choice at all.
Gritting his teeth, he signed the contract. “We will continue to be business partners. So, bear in mind that if you ruin me, I’ll drag Radiance. Group down.”
It seemed he was saying that to her, but in fact, he was reassuring himself.
Tianna took back the signed contract and said nothing.
She put it away and was about to leave. “Mr. Turner, enjoy the food. I’ll take my leave.”
“Wait,” he called out to her, “who exactly are you?”
She shrugged nonchalantly. “An intern in Radiance Group’s Purchasing Department.”
He pulled a long face. Of course, he didn’t buy it.
Tianna walked out of the private room and was wondering where to grab something to eat when she saw two figures.
Before she could say anything, they came to her already. The woman said, “Tianna? What are you doing here?”
It was Melvin’s sister. Nola Jimenez, and the guy beside her with dyed yellow hair was her boyfriend. Tianna remembered that when she first married Melvin, she had tried to convince Nola to break up with this man.
And then what happened?
Nola accused her harshly. Nola thought she was jealous and tried to ruin. Nola’s happiness because she couldn’t win Melvin’s heart.
Ever since that, Tianna had never given Nola any suggestions. Why waste time?
Yet. Nola had been holding a grudge. And Nola’s boyfriend? Ever since he learned that she had persuaded Nola to break up with him, he had provoked her several times.
It just so happened that Arthur stepped out of the private room. Seeing him. Nola pointed at Tianna, thinking that she had the goods on Tianna. “Tianna, you slut! You’re actually screwing around with another man? How shameless!”
Tianna felt speechless for a second.
She patted Nola’s hand away and glanced at Nola. “Didn’t Melvin tell you we’re divorced?”
“So what? Still, you’re his. You can’t be with any other man,” Nola said matter–of–factly, which stunned Tianna.
She looked at Nola, who seemed so serious, and couldn’t help but say, “Has the Jimenez family suffered some kind of severe mental trauma?”
