Chapter 9
Aquamarine’s POV
An intoxicating scent woke me up. My nose twitched, and my stomach grumbled. I closed my eyes and sniffed the air, taking in a mouth–watering scent.
I followed the smell to the edge of the bed. A large plate sat on the tray, and my eyes fixed onto it.
Food. Real food.
Not the scraps I’d scavenged from Beta Liam’s house. When was the last time I even ate? Yesterday? 2 days ago?

My hands trembled slightly as I lifted a piece of meat to my lips. I closed my eyes and chewed, savouring the taste… flavours dancing o
my tongue.
“Mmm…” slipped out between my lips.
“I thought you died last night.” A deep voice echoed.
My eyes snapped open, and I looked up to see Alexander fully dressed, standing in the doorway.
His eyes were on me, just like last night.
I swallowed hard, but I started coughing, my lungs burning.
Alexander raised an eyebrow, and his lips seemed to twitch a little.

My body jerked forward, hands flying to my throat, grasping it tightly. The coughs racked my chest and tears pricked
my eyes.

Suddenly, I felt huge arms wrapped tightly around my chest from behind, competing with whatever was knocking the breath out of me. A powerful thrust upward and something flew out of my throat and I gasped, sucking in air.
My body was still shaking like a leaf as I rested on his chest, trying to catch my breath. “Thank you.”
I looked up behind me, but Alexander seemed pretty….. occupied. His attention wasn’t on my face; it was lower. I felt a flush rise to my cheeks as I tried to peel away and cover myself properly.
I had forgotten I was naked as a newborn.
He released me, stood up and dropped something on the bed. “We’ll be leaving soon. Wear that and meet me outside,” he said, turning to leave.
I sighed, abandoning food painfully before hurrying to the bathroom to wash up. The last thing I wanted was for him to come back.
Or worse, see me naked again.
I grabbed the cloth, pulling it over my head. The fabric smoothed out, fitting surprisingly well. I rushed outside, squinting in the bright sunlight. Alexander stood by the carriage, talking to Levi in hushed tones.
As I stepped closer, however, I noticed something odd. Alexander ushered me into the carriage and followed me inside. The door closed behind him, and the carriage moved forward.
But something was bugging me. The odd noises. It grew louder and more disturbing
“Look outside, Aquamarine Tell me what you see.” Alexander’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts.
I nodded before moving the curtains and looking out. My eyes widened in horror, and a scream choked in my throat.
The sight before me sent shivers down my spine.
Lined up along cach side of the road, as far as the eye could see, were people from my pack, each of them tied to a stake groaning in pain. Their bodies were marked with red lines and blood flowed from them.

Was this the reason the maid had bruises last night? But this was much more gruesome.
The men were naked. The only thing on them was their shorts. They were tied upside down, and I couldn’t even imagine what they would be going through.
Meanwhile, the women were left in their undergarments. Unlike the men, they were tied to a Saltire cross.
“Gorgeous, isn’t it?” Alexander’s voice was like a knife to my heart.
My breathing stopped.
How could he say such a thing? When did he do this? Wasn’t there a storm last night? Did he really leave them outside the storm like that?
“Next time, I’ll have them bow.”
I couldn’t even bring myself to imagine it. I felt bile rise in my throat, and it seemed like I would turn green.
Then, I saw familiar faces.
OS REMAX ASTE RULO IT the same posture.as the others. But there was someone
beside the head turned as the
passed by.
He looked like me.
Bruises in the same place I had mine, there was a large bump on his head and blood trickled down his face from his head.
Even his eyes couldn’t even open clearly.
He was a bloody mess. But I looked away from him, the same way he did when I begged for my life.
“An eye for an eye,” Alexander’s voice echoed.
carriage
I looked over at him, munching on what looked like dried buffalo meat. His eyes were on me as I let out a shaky breath and I closed the curtains.
The rest of the ride was silent, too silent that I couldn’t help wondering what I’d do in Theriakon pack. Or what I’ll even be.
His Luna or just another slave mate to produce a child for the devil?
What was I thinking about agreeing to give him a child? What if my child ends up like him?
Suddenly, the carriage stopped and Alexander ushered me out. I looked up to the sky, the sun had already set. We set up camp for the night, and Alexander led me to his tent. He gestured for me to sit, and we ate in silence for a while.
“Eat more but don’t choke,” he ordered.
“Sure.” I nodded, chuckling nervously as I feasted on the food.
At least he doesn’t want me to die. Maybe he-
“Let me go!” A voice cut through the silence.
“What was that?” I asked.
“A thief. Levi’s squad would deal with it. He’s my trusted Kyrexeis,” Alexander said.
“Kyrexeis?”
“Yes, it’s what you weakling werewolves refer to as Beta.” he spat, as if it left a bitter taste in his mouth.
“Do you hate werewolves?” The words came out of my mouth before I even realized it.
Thate weak creatures,” he said, his gaze locking onto mine. “You’re lucky you’re my mate. Fil mould you to my liking…. mould you to
take all of me,” Alexander said, a smirk spreading his lips–a small dangerous smirk that made my skin crawl at the sight.
“I fear I will break you if I touch you now.” Alexander said. “I need you strong enough to give me my belt.”

So that was it?
“As my mate, you’re going to satisfy me and produce an heir,” he said. “But you’re too weak to even take my tip.”
“I don’t want to be your sex thing. I only promised you an heir, nothing more, nothing less.” I protested, backing away from him, my heart racing.
I just escaped the Moonstone pack’s daily torment and I’m not ready to be a breeder for a Devil like him.
Alexander’s eyes flashed with warning as he stood to his feet like the giant he was. “There’s no escaping it, Aquamarine. If you think running away would save you, then trust me, you won’t be able to make it out of this tent.”
I took another step back, the hot plate of food pinching my palm. My eyes darted between the door and him.
Alexander took a step closer, “If you don’t come willingly, I’ll take you on this makeshift bed. And trust me, I won’t be gentle.”
Gentle? I’m pretty sure he doesn’t know what being gentle means.
Last night he wasn’t even gentle when he was hungrily stroking my folds with his dick like a starved beast.
The thought of his rough hands on me again sent shivers down my spine.
I dashed to the entrance of the tent but before I could touch the covering, Alexander’s grip tightened around my wrist, his fingers digging into my skin.
Perfect.
He took the bait.
I spun and flung my hot plate at him.
He stumbled back, his eyes widening in shock. A thunderous roar erupted from his throat as he clutched at his burned skin.
I yanked my wrist free and ran outside. Passed some guards but they didn’t even stop me.
“Unhand me!” The voice screamed again. Making me slow down a bit.
Why was it familiar? Very familiar but I couldn’t quite place my finger on it.
! looked over to where the sound was coming from and from the corner of my eyes I saw Levi and his guards surrounding someone,
My mind froze.
No, no, no
My eyes widened as I recognized that face.
Katherine, bound and gagged
I turned my head around to meet Alexander who was towering over me, his brows creasing as he stared daggers at me.
One of the warnion held out her hand while another was with an axe over her head.
My blood ran cold. “Levi! Stop!”
