In the cold, dimly lit underground parking garage, Patrick slapped Heather, knocking her to
the ground.
He looked down at her, coldly watching her writhe in pain. “Tell Eliza to show up. Otherwise, I’ll take your life!”
Heather, already weakened by cancer, trembled, her eyes filled with the desperation of
*someone on the edge of death.
Patrick had ignored me for half a year, and now he was thinking of me only because Betty, his beloved, was terminally ill.
Heather repeated over and over. “Eliza is already dead.”
Not only did Patrick not believe her, but he dragged Heather into the garage and began to beat her.
“That cursed woman, how could she possibly be dead? She has gotten better over the past six months. Now she’s even acting out her death! Betty can’t even get out of bed now. I don’t have
the patience for this game with that cheap woman! Get her here!”
He kicked Heather in the stomach. She curled up in pain, groaning loudly.
In a moment of desperation, I rushed to protect Heather, begging Patrick to spare her.
But Patrick just cursed under his breath, “Eliza. Weren’t you the one who cared so much about
your mother? She’s in this state, and you still won’t show up?”
My heart ached, and I could only cry helplessly.
Because…
I was already dead.
I was dead in a hospital six months ago.
Patrick had been a student sponsored by my father, Donald Walter.
Everyone said we were a perfect match when we were together.
My father trusted him so much that he handed over the company to him.
But in just a few short years, the Walter family became his puppet, and Donald was forced to
jump from the building.
And I, his pregnant wife, died in a difficult childbirth the night he rushed to see his first love.
Now, he was dragging Heather by the hair, pressing her face into the water.
Patrick’s voice was cold. “I didn’t want to go this far, but if you want to blame someone,
blame Eliza.
Betty’s condition is all her fault. She should take responsibility for it!”
Heather continued to struggle. “Eliza really is gone. She died during childbirth…”
“I almost forgot. That b*tch was still pregnant with a bast**d. What? Are you trying to use child to control me? Heh. Whether it’s Eliza or that bast**d, I wouldn’t look at either of them!”
He ordered his bodyguards to throw Heather out of the door and then turned to coldly warn
ber, “Get Eliza here and donate bone marrow within three days. Otherwise, I’ll cut off your medical

Patrick returned to the hospital.
