The air in the room became suffocating. Antonio said nothing.
Slowly, he stood up, grabbed his clothes, and followed Amber without a.

They left together.
Hiding in a corner of the wall, I watched them and laughed.
Once, I thought I was special to Antonio.
I followed their cab to a high–end apartment complex.
Antonio got out of the cab and went upstairs with Amber.
In the middle of the towering building, one room lit up.
I waited in the car all night. Antonio didn’t come downstairs.
At 7 a.m. the next morning, Antonio entered the building again with bread.
Looking at the back of his familiar figure, I felt a sense of loss.
Perhaps that was my cue to leave. It was time to end it.
