Chapter 9
Lance’s face suddenly changed. “How is that possible?”
He stared at the letter intently.
He had read this letter countless times and kept it well. It could not be replaced.
But now, the words on the letter had indeed disappeared.
Lance’s heart sank, and a chill spread throughout his body from his spine.
How could the letter, which was clearly filled with my handwriting, become a blank paper?
It was as if everything he had seen before was an illusion.
The two police officers showed understanding of Lance’s actions
After all, it was difficult to accept the fact of my death at once.
In the end, they handed over the metal to the servants of the Austin family.
After bowing deeply to Lance, they turned around and left.
Soon, Lance brought in a renowned appraiser and said, “Help me take a look at this piece of paper and see if there are any traces of ink or anything suspicious.”
Lance was convinced that I had tampered with the letter

Half an hour later, he received the report.
The letter had no abnormalities. No one had written anything on it.
Lance seemed to have fallen into a bottomless abyss, and for a while, he couldn’t utter a single sound.
The person who was arranged to find my whereabouts also returned empty–handed.
“Mr. Austin, there are no traces of Ms. Casper in Stamburg, and there are no records of Ms. Casper’s leaving the country either.
How could a person just disappear?
Lance’s veins were bulging on his hands.
so scheming.”
“If you can’t find her in Stamburg, to other cities or other countries. Even if you have to search the whole world, you must find her!” Lance wearily closed his eyes and supported his forehead with his hand.
His temples throbbed incessantly due to long–term tension.
The moment he closed his eyes, his mind was filled with my lively image.
He couldn’t believe that I had died
Suddenly, there was a noise coming from outside the door.
Through the crack in the door, he saw a familiar figure, resembling me. Lance suddenly stood up. His heart was about t
to jump out of his throat.
He ran towards the door and opened it with excitement.
