“Yes, yes, call him, call him right now” Adah hurriedly dialed Ethan’s number.)
Just a second later, they heard the phone ringing from the study next to the bedroom.
Nathan and Adah exchanged a glance and rushed towards the study
As they pushed the door open, a strong smell of alcohol hit them.
When they turned on the light, they found Ethan sitting on the floor against the wall, surrounded by empty bottles.X
Squinting against the sudden brightness, Ethan frowned and slowly opened his eyes.
Nathan’s anger flared as he pointed at Ethan and shouted, “Look at the state you’re in!”
Ethan casually shook the bottle in his hand and, finding it empty, tossed it aside with a shrug
Nathan was furious. “Why did you abruptly end the partnership with Cole Industries? They’re one of our key partners, and Brian and Vanessa are engaged. Did you even think about the company or Vanessa’s feelings?”
Ethan’s lips curled into a sardonic smile, his voice raspy
spy and tinged with drunkenness, “Did Brian consider any of that when he had Claire bullied?”

Ethan let out a cold laugh and struggled to his feet.
“Brian orchestrated things so that inmates in prison would beat Claire, slap her, force her to kneel, make her drink toilet water, and even stab her with needles… Do you know why Claire limps? Her leg was broken.”
As Ethan recounted each atrocity, Nathan and Adah’s eyes widened in shock.
“That can’t be true.”
Ethan tapped a few times on his phone, and a moment later, Nathan and Adah’s phones buzzed.
“See for yourself. Quinn found these records.”
The data revealed cold, hard facts, and the horrifying pictures laid bare the inhumane treatment Claire had suffered in prison.
Adah instinctively covered her mouth with her hand, tears streaming down her face.
Nathan’s expression turned complex, his brow furrowed as he finally spoke. “Ethan, you acted too rashly.”
Ethan looked up his face devoid of emotion, “Should I just stand by and watch my sister be abused without doing anything?”
Nathan was silent for a long time before letting out a heavy sigh. “This is hurting us as much as them. Severing ties with Cole Industries doesnt benefit The Linwood Group at all.
As if to confirm his words, Nathan’s phone rang immediately.
After he ended the call, Nathan’s face was even darker. “Ethan, because of your decision. The Linwood Group has lost a billion dollars.”
Ethan’s expression shifted, his lips trembling slightly, but he remained silent, pressing them tightly together.
Adah was already beside herself with worry, pacing the room and rubbing her hands anxiously. “What are we going to do? How do we fix
this?”
Nathan exhaled slowly. “The only option is to restore the partnership with Cole Industries.”

As soon as the call connected, the air in the study seemed to freeze.
Nathan’s expression shifted throughout the conversation, his brow furrowing and then relaxing at intervals.

Seeing this, Adah’s voice was tinged with anxious hope, “What did Brian say?”
“He agreed to resume the partnership, but he demands that Claire come to the hospital tomorrow to apologize to his sister in person.
