“How should I put this? The bond of family is like a strong, solid thread that ties two people together. But the thread between you and Edie is different, it feels hollow,” Odalys said.

“From the beginning, she felt that with a little force, that thread would snap.
“Why is it hollow? If family ties are solid, then doesn’t that mean Edie is his mother? Freya exclaimed, visibly agitated
She couldn’t stand Edie’s arrogance, especially after Edie had tried to manipulate her, even luring her into buying a cursed property. Freya still hadn’t gone over that incident, and the resentment lingered in her chest.
Before Odalys could speak, there was a loud knocking sound from outside, interrupting everyone’s discussion
“Who is it?” Freya raised her voice and asked with displeasure.
“For actors, their trailers were private spaces, and unless it was urgent, no one usually came knocking without calling first.
“The person outside didn’t respond and continued knocking.
“I’ll get it.” Freya, clearly annoyed, tossed a throw pillow aside and got up. She marched to the door and flung it open.
The dazzling sunlight poured in, Freya tilted her head and saw a familiar figure standing outside the door. It was a woman who wore a modified gown with a shawl
Her thick hair was styled in large waves. She wore delicate heavy makeup, and her whole body exuded a strong perfume smell, giving off the air of a rich lady.
“Edie, what are you doing here?” Freya’s eyes turned wet with anger the moment she saw her.

“You!” Edie stood there with an arrogant expression
“She didn’t expect Freya to lash out so violently. The kick caught her off guard, and she tumbled down the steps of the trailer.
“Edie screamed as she fell to the ground. Before she could get back up, Freya, having kicked off her heels, leaped down and pinned her to the ground.
“How dare you knock on my trailer door! How dare you ruin my mood? How dare you!” Freya shouted, looking unhinged.
“She raised her hand and slapped Edie across the face. Edie retaliated by grabbing Freya’s collar, but Freya bit down hard on her wrist.
“Edie winced in pain as blood oozed from her wrist. Freya, undeterred, bit down even harder as if trying to break the bone.
Realizing how deranged Freya had become, Edie tried to kick her away.
“But Freya shifted her weight and slammed herself onto Edie’s stomach. Edie’s legs, mid–kick, were pinned under Freya’s weight. The force left her writhing in pain, clutching her abdomen.
After her recent miscarriage, Henry didn’t give her time to recuperate.
A lot had happened recently, and Edie didn’t have time to rest, as she was busy running around.
“Despite her well–maintained physique, she felt constantly fatigued, especially now in late autumn. Even though the weather was still relatively mild, she found herself already bundled up in a thick shawl.
“Edie, let go of me! Freya yelled,
She grabbed something from the side and tried to hit Freya on the head with it.
Odalys stepped out of the trailer just in time to see Edie’s movement. Without hesitation, she kicked one of Freya’s discarded high heels straight at Edie. The shoe struck Edie’s wrist hard.
Edie felt a sharp pain in her wrist as the high heel slammed into her face.
Freya’s eyes burned with fury as she grabbed Edie’s hair and landed a powerful punch.
Edie’s vision blurred. Freya grabbed her waist, twisted it hard, and said. “That’s for your sneak attack! Did you think I wouldn’t figure out you drugged Odalys last time?”
“If I weren’t a decent person. I’d give you a couple of shots myself. Damn it, you bitch” As Freya spoke, she spat on Edie’s face.
Edie felt her ears ringing and her head spinning from the assault.
Just as the managed to sit up. Freya yanked the shawl from around her shoulders and wrapped it tightly around her neck. Dragging Edie like discarded luggage, Freya stormed toward the garbage heap nearby.
“Stop! Let go. let go Edie was terrified
She didn’t expect Freya to strangle her. Her neck was constricted and her breathing became difficult. She desperately reached out, hoping to call for Odalys’s help.
Odalys, however, merely watched from afar before stepping out of the mailer.
“Odalys merely stood nearby, watching coldly. She had no intention of intervening
“Trash belongs with trash, Killing you would just dirty my hands,” Freya snapped. She spat again and flung Edie into the garbage heap.
Planting her hands on her hips, she cursed her one last time before turning back toward the trailer.
As soon as she spotted Odalys, Freya’s fierce demeanor crumbled into vulnerability.
“Odalys, look at what she did! She came to bully me again, she whimpered, her eyes welling with tears.
She threw herself into Odalys’s arms, clinging to her waist and pouting like a wronged child. “She knocked on my trailer door! She was here to
harass me or set me up again.”

“Then, Percival grabbed Freya’s collar, effortlessly pulling her away from Odalys’s embrace. Towering over her, he stepped forward, blocking her from clinging to Odalys again.
“Keep your hands to yourself.” Percival said in a deep voice.
Freya shrank her shoulders silently upon hearing this.
“She edged behind Odalys for protection, poking her in the back and whispering. “Odalys, he’s jealous. Do you think he wants to hit me? You have to protect me

At this thought, she silently hugged Odalys from behind.
“She rested her check against her back and nuzzled playfully. “Odalys, Ike you so much.”
