Chapter 577
The three of them managed to drag the heavy suitcases out. With a click, Odalys pressed a hidden latch, and the suitcase contents were revealed- shimmering rubies
“Wow, there are so many rubies?” Freya exclaimed, shocked. She quickly reached out to touch them, still unsure whether she was imagining things.
Selah pointed to the other two suitcases under the bed, eyes wide with curiosity. “Odalys, do these two contain the same thing?”
Odalys pulled out the remaining suitcases without responding, opening them to reveal more rubies.
The room was filled with three large suitcases of rubies, and Odalys could only stare, stunned. She had been coming home, showering, and going to bed without noticing what was beneath the bed
“I didn’t even know,” Odalys said, bewildered,
These had to be the gift from Evander, though no one had mentioned this hidden stash.
Just as the three tried to figure it out, Dorian appeared at the door, holding a cake
“Mrs. Stewart, would you like me to help with the rubies? Should I have someone bring it downstairs?” Dorian asked, noticing the sight of rubies
Odalys, still confused, asked. “Who put all these rubies here? I didn’t know it was there.”
Dorian blinked at her, realizing he hadn’t mentioned it before. “Mr. Stewart left these there on your birthday night. He probably forgot to tell you. Each box contains 333 rubies, and there are three boxes in total–999 rubies–symbolizing longevity, Dorian explained.
He then added, “And there’s this.” Dorian opened a drawer, pulled out thick property deeds, and laid them on the bed.
“These are from Mr. Stewart. He left them in your drawer. There’s the deed for the entertainment shop, the deed for that building, certificates for ten shops in the East District, and the papers for the building you rented for Selah and Freya”
“These were from Mr. Stewart,” Dorian said. They’ve been in the drawer for so long; he must have forgotten about them?⠀
The overwhelming surprises took Odalys aback. They had given her all of this without a word of explanation.
“How could you forget such valuable things” Selah said in astonishment.
Selah thought, No one would forget a single ruby, yet they carelessly shoved all this into drawers and under the bed, never mentioning it again. This level of wealth is just absurd–it’s almost beyond belief.
“Mrs. Stewart, is everything alright? Are you not happy with the gifts?” Dorian asked, noticing the odd tension in the room. He couldn’t quite figure it out, observing Odalys. He thought, ‘Did I underestimate what was needed?
“No, it’s just… Why give me so much? it makes me feel like I’m some materialistic person,” Odalys said, somewhat self–deprecating
She thought, I can’t believe this. I was already stunned by the rubies Percival gave me before, but now to find property deeds tucked away under my bed and in my drawer! It’s overwhelming. I heard Percival mention them, but seeing it all for myself, it’s still a shock.
“It’s nothing. It’s just a birthday gift from Mr. Stewart and Evander. It’s nothing too extravagant, Dorian reassured her. In truth, he had been a bit anxious himself
“How is the Evander” Odalys asked with concern.
Both Freya and Selali’s eyes lit up at the mention of Evander. They recalled the satisfaction of hearing Evander personally report Hannah’s actions.
“Evander’s downstairs. If there’s nothing else, I’ll prepare dinner. What would you like, Mrs. Stewart?” Dorian asked.
Odalys casually mentioned a few dishes, and Freya and Selah followed suit. They all hurried downstairs to check on Evander.
Meanwhile, Odalys locked the suitcase in her room and slid it back under the bed. After hanging up her towel, she headed for the study.
“Knock, knock, knock” She knocked on the door. A moment later, she heard Percival’s voice from inside. “Come in.”
Odalys entered, finding him in
immersed in paperwork under the dim light, with scattered files on the coffee table, clearly from his earlier review Hearing footsteps, Percival said, “Go ahead and eat. You don’t have to wait for me.”

Chapter 577
After hearing no response from Dorian, he looked up and was surprised to see Odalys standing there. He instinctively tightened his grip on the papers, looking at her.
“Ah, why are you here! Didn’t you go out? Percival asked.
He quickly stood, remembering something, and walked to the safe, pulling out two stacks of cash. “You might need some tips when you go to the nightclub later. It’s easier with cash.”
He handed her the money, but Odalys didn’t take it immediately
“What’s wrong?” Percival frowned in confusion when she didn’t reach for it.
Odalys pointed toward her room. “Did you leave all those rubies under the bed?
bed: What’s th
‘s the reason for so much?”
“Ah, I arranged those for your birthday Percival said, almost forgetting until she brought them up. “I got caught up with work and forgot to mention it. He paused, realizing he hadn’t even remembered until now.
“You don’t need to give me this much. You’ve already done enough.” Odalys said.
Percival waved it off, pushing the cash toward her. A familiar, subtle tingling sensation spread between them as their hands brushed. Odalys felt a slight warmth rise to her cheeks.
“We’re family; no need to be formal, Percival said with a light smile.
Odalys looked at the cash, estimating it at around 60 thousand dollars. Her confusion deepened, and as she glanced around, she realized they were alone. Feeling more comfortable, she asked, “Is this how much you tip at the nightclub?”
Percival remained silent.
“How much do you usually tip when you go?” she asked, her curiosity piqued
She thought, Honestly, this seems excessive. In a typical family, earning 60 thousand dollars a year is a lot, let alone tipping that much in a single night. I’m not stingy, but I’ve never had the freedom to spend money
When I was with the Bennett family, I couldn’t afford to spend anything. Now that I have money, it’s hard to get used to spending it!
“It depends on what you’re paying for. Percival answered.
Odalys leaned in, intrigued, “What kind of things do you pay for?”
Odalys thought, I’ve never been to a nightclub in either life. The only thing I knew about nightclubs was that Sophia had forced Henry into that work. Now, thinking it over, I think I’ve figured it out!
She cleared her throat, an embarrassed expression crossing her face. “I think I got it now,
